Abington, Pa. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's men's basketball team (6-10, 5-7 NEAC) had its three-game win streak snapped against Penn State Abington, 102-91 on Wednesday evening.
Marlon Hart lead the Eagles with a career high 26 points, including five three-pointers.
Jason Saldiveri added 18 points, six rebounds, and five assists while
Roland Romano pitched in with 18 points and six rebounds.
Trailing 15-10 early in the first half, the Eagles used a 6-0 run to take a 16-15 lead with 14:02 remaining. Both teams would play even over the next seven minutes before Abington used a 13-0 run to take a 42-29 lead. CSE was unable to get the deficit into single-digits as Abington took a 50-39 lead into halftime.
Abington pushed the lead to as much as 20 before the Eagles made a run in the final five minutes. CSE was unable to get the deficit to less then 11 in the second half before dropping the contest 102-91.
CSE returns to action on Saturday when it travels to SUNYÂ Cobleskill for a 3 pm start.
