Chambersburg, Pa. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's softball team (14-19, 5-11 NEAC) dropped a NEAC doubleheader at Wilson College, 11-3 and 8-0 on Sunday afternoon.
After Wilson took an early 1-0 lead in game one,
Rachael Romer drew a bases loaded walk in the top of the second to tie the score at one. The Phoenix regained the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning, scoring three runs to take a 4-1 lead.
In the top of the fifth,
Samantha Albertson tripled to right field, driving in two runs and cutting the deficit to one. Over the next two innings, Wilson scored seven runs, while holding the Eagles scoreless, taking the game 11-3 in six innings.Â
The Eagles found themselves in another early hole in game two as Wilson scored five runs over the first three innings. CSE struggled at the dish, managing just two hits in the game by Albertson and
Allie Jenkins. Wilson would pile on three more runs over the next two innings, taking the game 8-0 in five innings.
CSE returns to action on Tuesday when they host Wilson College at 3 pm.
