Eagles Rally to Down Lions in 5

Bryn Athyn, Pa. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's volleyball team (8-10, 4-6 NEAC) rallied from a 2-1 deficit to defeat Bryn Athyn College in five sets, (11-25, 25-21, 26-28, 25-19, 15-7) on Saturday afternoon.

After dropping the first set 25-11, the Eagles turned things around in the second set, winning 25-21. The Eagles had 12 kills on 35 attempts in the set.

Despite dropping the third set 28-26, the Eagles attack was on point, finishing with 18 kills on 33 attempts for a .364 attack percentage. In the fourth set, the Eagles continued their strong comeback, winning the set 25-19 to tie the match up at two.

In the final set, the Eagles quickly jumped out to a commanding 7-1 lead. After the Lions got within four, the Eagles rallied off the next three points to take a seven point lead. Kiana Cunningham served the final two points, completing the comeback for the Eagles.

Yasmin'na Muhammad finished with a season high 18 kills on 41 attempts. Stephanie Mitarotond had a stellar game for CSE, finishing with 27 digs, six aces and three assists. Nicole Morera added 40 assists for the Eagles in the win.

CSE returns to action on Saturday when they travel to Lancaster Bible for the final NEAC weekend of the season.
