Lancaster, P.A. - Aubrey Folger scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to help Lancaster Bible College defeat the College of Saint Elizabeth (5-10, 5-5 NEAC), 78-48 on Tuesday evening.
Folger was one of five Chargers in double figures for Lancaster, including Krissy Pennell who finished with 15 points and 12 assists.
Ashley Pledger lead the Eagles with 14 points and 4 rebounds, while
Sharolin Sanders added 10 points and 9 rebounds.
Leading 9-8 midway through the first quarter, the Chargers went on a 9-0 run to open up a 10 point lead. The Eagles would struggle from the floor in the first period as Lancaster took a 27-12 lead into the second quarter.
Pledger scored six of her 14 points in the second quarter, while Sanders added four points in the period. Lancaster upped their lead in the second quarter, taking a 52-27 lead into halftime.
Jasmine Poole lead the Eagles in the third quarter, scoring all six of her points. The Eagles could not slice into the deficit as Lancaster took a 68-39 lead into the final period.
In the final quarter, the Eagles defense stepped up, holding the Chargers to just ten points. Despite the tough defense, the Eagles shooting woes continued, as Lancaster took the game 78-48.
The Eagles return to action on Thursday when they host SUNY Cobleskill at 6 pm.
