Reading, P.A.- The College of Saint Elizabeth's softball team (4-10, 2-4 NEAC) dropped a pair of games to NEAC foe Penn State Berks, 8-0 and 10-1 on Friday.
In game 1,
Alexandria Garcia held Berks scoreless through the first 3 innings. In the bottom of the 5th inning, Berks got on the board with 4 runs in the inning to take a 4-0 lead. Despite the Eagles struggling offense in game 1,
Alesandria DeSapio finished with 2 of the 3 Eagles hits including a double. Berks would add 4 more runs in the bottom of the 6th to take the game 8-0.
In game 2, Berks got on the board early, scoring 5 runs in the first inning. Berks would manage to add 3 more in the 3rd inning to open up a 9-0 lead. The Eagles would get on the board in the top of the 4th inning behind and RBI ground out by Alex Garcia. Berks would add a run in the bottom of the 4th inning to take the game 10-1.
CSE returns to action on Thursday when they host Lancaster Bible at 3 pm.
