Morristown, N.J.- The College of Saint Elizabeth's lacrosse team (0-12, 0-8 NEAC) dropped a NEAC contest to Cazenovia, 20-2 on Saturday afternoon.
The Wildcats from Cazenovia got out to an early 5-0 lead 10 minutes into the game. Ashley Morera was able to get 2 shots on goal in the first half while Kassandria Ortiz had 1, all 3 which were saved by Cazenovia. Sarah Briant added 9 saves in net for the Eagles in the first half. The Wildcats added 5 more goals in the half to take a 10- halftime lead.
In the second half, Ortiz put the Eagles on the board by putting home her 4th goal of the season to get CSE to within 11-1. With 8:30 remaining in the game, Morera put home her first goal of the game. The Wildcats would end up scoring 9 more goals and take the game 20-2.
CSE returns to action on Sunday for Senior Day when they host Morrisville State at 1 pm.
