Morristown, N.J.- The College of Saint Elizabeth's softball team (6-14, 2-6 NEAC) dropped a pair of games to Brooklyn College, 6-0 and 5-1 on Monday afternoon.
After a scoreless first inning, Brooklyn College scored the first run of the game in the top of the second to take a 1-0 lead. Brooklyn capitalized off 2 costly Eagles errors in the top of the 3rd inning to open up a 3-0 lead.  Brooklyn added 3 more runs in the 4th and 5th innings to gain a 6-0 lead.
Valerie Lasko became the Eagles first base runner of the game with a walk to lead off the bottom of the 7th inning. The next batter, Christina Scolaro, broke up Kayla Hill's no hit bid in the bottom of the 7th with a line drive single to center. Despite loading the bases, the Eagles were unable to put any runs across the plate, dropping the game 6-0.
In game 2, the Bulldogs got out to another early lead by scoring 2 runs in the second inning to take a 2-0 lead. In the bottom of the second, Grace Bailey lined an RBI single to left field to get the Eagles on the board.  Brooklyn added 2 more runs in the top of the 5th inning to take a 4-1 lead. The Eagles couldn't manage any more offense in the game, dropping the contest 5-1.
CSE returns to action on Tuesday afternoon when they host Wilson College at 3 pm.
