Chambersburg, P.A.- The College of Saint Elizabeth's softball team (2-8, 0-2 NEAC) dropped 2 in their conference opener to Wilson College, 10-2 and 2-1 on Sunday afternoon.
Alexandria Garcia pitched well through the first 5 innings for the Eagles, giving up just 2 runs. The Eagles bats finally came alive in the 5th inning as
Nicole Morera lined an RBI single to left field scoring
Morgan Sim. Garcia followed up with an RBI single of her own to tie the score up at 2. The game would remain tied until the bottom of the 6th when Wilson scored 8 unanswered runs to take game 1, 10-2.
Christina Scolaro pitched one of her best games of the season, giving up just 1 run through the first 4 innings. In the top of the 4th,
Morgan Sim lined a single scoring
Valerie Lasko to tie the game up at 1. Wilson would take a 2-1 lead when a throwing error CSE allowed the 2nd run to score. The Eagles were unable to score a run in the top of the 7th, dropping the game 2-1.
Nicole Morera finished 2-6 on the day with an RBI while
Morgan Sim finished 3-6 with 2 RBI's. The Eagles return to action on Thursday when they travel to Lancaster Bible for a 3 pm start.
