Keuka Park, N.Y.- The College of Saint Elizabeth's basketball team dropped a tough NEAC contest at Keuka College, 62-50 on Saturday.
Ashley Pledger got the Eagles on the board first, knocking down a three-pointer to get to within one.
Alexandria Garcia followed suit at the 13:56 mark, knocking down a three-pointer of her own to give the Eagles an 11-10 lead. Keuka would open up a 23-19 lead before Pledger lead toe Eagles on a 6-0 run to regain a 25-23 lead. Keuka would end the first half on a 10-0 run to take a 33-25 lead into the break.
Pledger continued her hot shooting in the second half, knocking down her 4th three-pointer of the game to get the Eagles to within 35-28. Pledger would knock down yet another three-pointer at the 9:59 mark to cut the lead to 5. Keuka would follow up with an 8-0 run to open up a 13 point lead.
Alivia Roseboro would knock down 2 free-throws to get the Eagles back to within 6. Despite cutting into the lead, the Eagles shot just 34% from the floor. Keuka would not let the Eagles get any closer, winning the game 62-50.
Ashley Pledger lead CSE with 22 points including 6 three-pointers.
Alivia Roseboro added 8 points, 6 assists, and 3 rebounds. The Eagles return to action on Sunday when they travel to Wells College for a 1 pm tip.
