Morristown, N.J.- The College of Saint Elizabeth fought hard all game but ultimately lost to Cazenovia 13-0 on Saturday.
Mariah Lavornia once again kept the Eagles in the game early, saving 2 early shots from Cazenoiva. Emmanuella Dorcent led the Eagles charge on offense early, getting a shot on goal that was saved by the Wildcats. The Eagles couldn't hold down the Wildcats for long as Cazenovia scored 3 quick goals to take a 3-0 15 minutes into the game. Cazenovia's offense kept up the pressure, adding 3 more goals before the break to take a 6-0 lead into halftime.
Lavornia continued her stellar play in net, making a diving save just a minute into the second half. The Wildcats would strike again not long after, adding 2 more goals to take an 8-0 lead. The Eagles managed to get 4 shots off in the second half, however all 4 were missed wide. Cazenovia ended up adding 5 more goals to win the game 13-0.
Mariah Lavornia had 13 saves in net for the Eagles. Valerie Lasko led the Eagles with 3 shots, followed by Grace Bailey with 2 and Emmanuella Dorcent with 1.
The Eagles return to action on Sunday when they host Morrisville State at 1 pm.
