Dover, D.E.- The College of Saint Elizabeth's soccer team lost their first road game of the season at Wesley College, 10-0 on Saturday night.
Wesley College got on the board just 22 seconds into the game, scoring from 25 yards out to take a 1-0 lead. Wesley would add 2 more goals just 5 minutes later to take a 3-0 lead. Despite Wesley getting good looks early, freshman goalkeeper Mariah Lavornia kept the Eagles in the game with 12 first half saves. Wesley would add 4 more goals late in the half to take a 7-0 lead into halftime.
Wesley continued to apply pressure in the second half, scoring 3 more goals just 5 minutes into the second half. Jessica Nunez applied pressure on offense for CSE, getting off 2 shots on goal, both saved by Wesley. Valerie Lasko would also add a shot on goal for the Eagles. Unfortunately, the Eagles couldn't get anything passed Wesley's keeper, dropping the game 10-0.
The Eagles return to action on Saturday when they travel to New York to take on Cobleskill in the first NEAC game of the season.
