Madison, N.J.- The College of Saint Elizabeth struggled to find their game, dropping the Rose City Classic Consolation game to host Drew University, 92-60.
Drew University took an early 13-9 lead before
Sharolin Sanders drained a jumper, cutting the lead to 2. After trading baskets, Drew went on a 13-0 run to open up a 40-20 lead with 2 minutes remaining in the first half. CSE would trail 47-27 at half.
The second half did not start out much better for the Eagles as Drew opened up a 30 point lead with 15 minutes remaining in the game. The Eagles continued to play tough but could not mount a comeback, dropping the game 92-60.
Ashley Pledger was once again a bright spot for the Eagles, scoring 19 points and being named to the Rose City Classic All-Tournament Team.
Danesha Triplett added 16 points and 9 rebounds while
Sharolin Sanders added 11 points.
CSE returns to action on November 22nd when they travel to Gallaudet University for the first NEAC game of the season.
