Rebeca Pagan Padilla

Rebeca Pagan began playing volleyball at the age of 14 and became a starting center block for her high school at Colegio San Agustin of Cabo Rojo in Puerto Rico. She also played for two different town teams while she was in high school, being a starter in all teams. She got the award for most valuable player and athlete her senior year of high school, after winning the league championship. She got a scholarship at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica from Puerto Rico. Also, she played professionally for her town of Cabo Rojo. On her sophomore year she got injured, immediately ending her career as an athlete.

After her injury her college offered her a head coach position. She coached that University from 2011-2013 both female and male teams. She also got a job at a volleyball club in her town as a volleyball teacher. Her Highschool hired her as an assistant coach and a year after she madehead coach for all the school teams from 2011-2014. Also, she became an assistant coach at one of the professional teams in Puerto Rico called las Piratas of Cabo Rojo, a team she used to play at in 2013.

In the year 2014 she moved to NJ for her studies. She started coaching at VB Rags Volleyball Academy in 2015. On 2018-2019 16 under volleyball season with VB Rags, her team made it to finals in 4 different tournaments, winning one championship in Glassboro NJ. In 2018 she started coaching at Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy where she went to semifinals with the women’s varsity team, first time in their school history. She continues to be the head coach for Kushner Highschool and working at VB Rags Volleyball Academy. She also started coaching The Owls at Union County College, on her first year she got the teams to playoffs, and also this past season of fall 2021. On spring 2021 she gothired by Montclair Kimberly Academy as an assistant coach, the team made it to states finals. She continues at  Kushner, VB Rags as an active coach and now she starts a new volleyball program at St. Elizabeth’s University.  
 
 Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from PUCPR
