Trey Bailey Strothers enters his third season as the Head Coach of the Saint Elizabeth University Women’s Basketball Team in 2024-25. Last Season, Coach Trey Led the team to a 22-6 record, marking the most single season wins in program history while also winning the 2023-2024 United East Skye Division Championship. Coach Trey's 2023-2024 team led the Nation in offensive rebounding and was top 5 in the nation for rebounding overall. Coach Trey assisted in the development of Player of the Year/Defensive Player of the Year, Destiny Battle as well as All-Conference Members, Yasminah White, Aryanna Baytops and Kolby Lynch through two seasons.
Through two seasons, Coach Trey has accumulated 39 wins in a 39-16 record, marking him just 3 wins shy of becoming the winningest Head Coach in Saint Elizabeth University Women's Basketball History.
Prior to arriving at Saint Elizabeth, Coach Trey was an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Drew University and New Jersey City University. He was key in the development of Drew’s Defensive Player of the year, Malachi Walker, Jr while also contributing to the development of First-Team All-Conference players, Howard McBurnie Jr and Lybrant Robinson, who also was named Conference Tournament MVP. During Coach Trey’s tenure as an Assistant at Drew, they won the 2020 Landmark Conference Championship.
Coach Trey’s first college coaching stop was right here at Saint Elizabeth University, then College of Saint Elizabeth from 2017 to 2019 as an Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach under the great Head Coach, Marquetta “Coach Q” Dickens. He helped lead the Lady Eagles to their then best conference record in program history.
Coach Trey is a 2015 graduate of Susquehanna University and now resides in Parsippany, NJ with his Wife Marcela and son Carmelo. Coach Trey and his family are active members at Calvary Temple International Church in Wayne, NJ!
