Biography

Marielis Alicea is in her first season as a pitcher/utility player on the Eagles softball team. Marielis is an Education major at CSE. She is a 2015 graduate from Bloomfield Tech High School.

While at Bloomfield Tech, Marielis played 4 years of softball, earning Second Team All-Conference in 2013, First Team All-Conference in 2014, and Second Team All-Conference in 2015. In 2014 and 15, she was named MVP of her softball team. In her season season, Alicea received the 2015 Super Essex Conference Teammate of the Year Award at the Yogi Berra Museum.

In the classroom, Marielis was am honor roll student all four years of high school and was a member of the National Honors Society. Marielis is the daughter of Luis Alicea and Marlene Cruz, and has five siblings.
