Chris Garcia

Chris Garcia was named the Head Men's Soccer Coach in December of 2018.

Garcia comes to SEU from Seton Hall University where he was a volunteer assistant coach for one year on the men's and women's sides. Garcia was an assistant for Rick Stainton, who was head coach of SEU in 2019 before joining Georgetown's staff for the 2020 season. The year prior, Garcia was a volunteer assistant on the men's side at Seton Hall, where he helped with video game analysis and helped plan practices and create team strategies and tactics.

"I am very excited to have this opportunity," said Garcia. "I am excited to develop a program that the school will be proud of. I bring a lot of hunger and ambition and I can't wait to get started."

Since 2014, Garcia has been at the helm for the Secaucus High School varsity boys soccer program.  During his time at Secaucus, Garcia led the team to two sectional finals and won the NJIC Tournament for the first time in program history.

Garcia has earned the Premier Diploma through United States Coaching Association, the "B" license from the United States Soccer Federation, and the UEFA "B" License from the Irish FA.  He is currently finishing his UEFA "A" License.

Garcia is a 2014 graduate from Seton Hall University with a bachelors in Public Relations.  While at Seton Hall, Garcia was a member of the soccer team where he earned Big East All-Academic Team honors in 2010 and 2014.  Garcia is confident that his time at Seton Hall will make it an easy transition to SEU.  "As a player at Seton Hall University, I learned to be disciplined and have a good work ethic under Manfred Schellscheidt and Gerson Echeverry.  I am excited to bring these values into the program.  As a coach at Seton Hall University, I had the privilege to work under Gerson Echeverry ad Rick Stainton.  Both, have taught me so many things about the game and how to handle various situations and obstacles I may face.  They are great mentors and I look forward to implementing some of their values and methods into the Men's Soccer program at Saint Elizabeth University."
