Evan Collier

Evan Collier is an experienced compliance professional with a multifaceted background in law, sports, mental health and wellness. He currently serves as Chief of Staff for State Assemblyman, Reginald W. Atkins in LD-20 which is comprised of the following municipalities and boroughs: Elizabeth, Roselle, Union, and Kenilworth. He is currently responsible for directing 24 bills through the legislature to become law for the State of New Jersey. He is also a 1L law student at Massachusetts School of Law.

After graduating high school, Collier received a football scholarship from Assumption College where he played Division 2 football before transferring to Southern Connecticut State University where he later obtained his Bachelors of Arts in Political Science. Soon after, Collier received his Masters degree from Fordham Law School with a focus on Corporate Ethics and Compliance.  

Most recently, Collier has continued on his athletic journey by means of coaching; at both the college and high school levels. He began his coaching career as an assistant basketball coach at Penn College of Technology in Williamsport, PA. He went on to coach football and basketball at his former high school in Kenilworth, NJ and founded his own AAU Nonprofit basketball team. He currently works as an Assistant Basketball Coach at Saint Elizabeth University. 

Collier also has an extensive background in research, with a focus on youth developmental challenges in urban communities. He has further obtained his certification as a Mental Health First Aider (MHFA) from the Geisinger School of Medicine in Scranton, PA.
