Dan Furbeck was announced as the head baseball coach at Saint Elizabeth University on January 16, 2024.
"Dan's involvement in the growth of the new program and various managerial roles throughout the campus made him an excellent candidate to grow the baseball program into a new chapter of success," saidÂ
Jennifer Virgil, Director of Athletics at Saint Elizabeth University.
During Dan's tenure, the team has reached back-to-back playoff berths in its first two seasons post-COVID. In 2019, the baseball team won its first game ever played and posted a .300 BA while finishing its inaugural season with 59 home runs and 180 doubles. The program has had nine all-conference honorees and posted a .955 fielding percentage in 2023.
Dan Furbeck had been the assistant baseball coach at Saint Elizabeth University for four years. During his tenure, he worked with the outfielders and hitters in 2019, infielders and hitters in 2020, and will be operating as the offensive and defensive coordinator for the 2021-22 seasons. In 2022, he became the program's recruiting coordinator. Shortly after rising to manage the offense, he assumed the third base coaching responsibility and managed other positional coaches.
