BASEBALL (OFF CAMPUS)

  • All visiting teams will arrive at Diamond Nation and drop-off near main entrance.
  • Teams will enter the complex through the main gate and visiting teams will use the first base dugout and bleachers behind the dugout (if available).
  • All visiting teams will be screened and safety protocols confirmed by St. Elizabeth staff members when entering the venue.
  • Bus/Van Parking would be in the back of the parking lot until the end of the contest.
  • There are no visiting fans permitted.
 
SOFTBALL

  • All visiting teams will arrive on campus and can drop-off in the dirt parking lot next to the St. Elizabeth academy building. The softball field is behind the academy building down the hill.
  • Visiting Teams will occupy the First Base dugout and Bleachers behind the dugout.
  • All visiting teams will be screened and safety protocols confirmed by St. Elizabeth staff member when entering venue
  • Bus/Van Parking would be in the dirt parking lot next to the academy until the end of the contest.
  • There are no visiting fans permitted.
 
VOLLEYBALL

  • All visiting teams will arrive on campus and can drop-off in the lot behind Saint Joseph’s Hall.
  • All team personnel, fans and spectators will enter and exit the facility through the front doors of Saint Joseph Hall. The gym is located on the lower level of Saint Joseph Hall through the double wooden doors. Spectators will enter upstairs through the wooden double doors near the book store.
  • All visiting teams will be screened and safety protocols confirmed by St. Elizabeth staff member when entering the venue.
  • Teams will be stationed on the far side of the gym (wall) and will sit / stand along the sideline and near the corners (by the weight room and loading dock doors). Saint Elizabeth will sit nearest the weight room.
  • Bus/Van parking will be in the lot behind the gymnasium (near the emergency doors)
  • There are no visiting fans permitted.
  
WHAT TO EXPECT
 
GENERAL OUTDOOR SPECTATOR GUIDELINES
  • Spectators are limited to 2 guests per Saint Elizabeth student athlete actively engaged in the sport on the day of the competition.
  • Visiting team spectators are not permitted to attend events.
  • When invited, Saint Elizabeth family members and outside guests must follow all Saint Elizabeth health and safety protocols, including universal masking, physical distancing, assessing for COVID-19 symptoms in advance of traveling to campus and NOT attending if any symptoms are present. 
  • Guests are permitted to sit or stand on the grass or past the dugouts along the 1st or 3rd baseline. 
  • Spectators are expected to bring their own chair as there will be no general admission seating in the bleachers.
 
GENERAL INDOOR SPECTATOR GUIDELINES  
  • Saint Elizabeth University allows two guests per student athlete for the home team provided the list is submitted 24 hours in advance of the competition.  Invited spectators must bring and show a valid ID to be admitted into the venue.  Visiting Team Student Athletes will not be allowed to have guests. 
 UNIVERSAL MASKING
  • All individuals who access the competition area and engage in the competition (including the visiting team) shall be required to wear a mask, including student-athletes, coaches, officials and game day staff. This does not include wearing a face mask on the field of play during competition. When participants are in the dugout or in a group setting they will be required to wear a mask. The proper use of a mask as a mitigation strategy requires that the mask must completely cover both the nose and the mouth such that neither nostrils nor the tip of the nose is visible.
COVID-19 GUIDELINES EVENTS (PRACTICES OR CONTESTS)
 
  1. All Tier-1 student-athletes and staff will be pre-screened prior to the event by a Saint Elizabeth staff member or Athletic Trainer.
 
  1. Saint Elizabeth sports medicine staff will request a typed list of the visiting team’s entire travel party. This can be sent to Mike Pawlusiak our Athletic Trainer, via email, and needs to be sent 48 hours prior to the competition.
 
  1. St. Elizabeth sports medicine staff will receive a COVID-19 screening document from the visiting teams of their student-athletes via the hard copy upon arrival. St. Elizabeth will provide a copy of our screening report to the opponent as well. Form of receipt of pre-screening report will be agreed upon 48 hours prior to the contest.
 
  1. Student-athletes/coaches presenting symptoms of COVID-19 before the contest
    1. If any student-athlete or coach is suspected of showing signs of illness, a member of SEU’s sports medicine staff will communicate with/inform the Game Day Administrator and Director of Athletics. St. Elizabeth Athletic Director or Game Day Management will communicate this information to the visiting administrator.
    2. St. Elizabeth will attempt to isolate the suspected individual safely in designated area.
    3. Any contest cancellation/suspension decisions will be made by both campus administrators in accordance with their campus procedures.
 
  1. Student-athletes/coaches presenting symptoms of COVID-19 during the contest
    1. If a home or visiting student-athlete or coach is suspected of showing signs of illness, a member of St. Elizabeth sports medicine staff will communicate with/inform the Game Day Administrator and the Director of Athletics. St. Elizabeth’s Athletic Director will communicate this information to the visiting athletic director/team representative.
    2. St. Elizabeth will attempt to isolate the suspected individual safely in a designated area.
