HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – The Saint Elizabeth University men's basketball team came up just short Wednesday night, falling to Centenary University 90-87 at the John M. Reeves Student Recreation Center.
Saint Elizabeth controlled much of the game, leading 41-37 at halftime and holding the advantage for over 36 minutes. Centenary rallied late in the second half and edged ahead in the final moments to secure the win.
Josiah King delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 32 points on 12-of-19 shooting. Tye-Rell Monroe recorded a double-double with 26 points and 10 rebounds, while Rodney Tullis Jr. added 18 points, including three three-pointers.
Saint Elizabeth shot 47.0% from the floor and went 18-for-24 from the free throw line, but Centenary's late surge proved decisive.
