MORRISTOWN, N.J. – The Saint Elizabeth University men's volleyball team earned its first conference victory of the season Thursday night, sweeping York College (NY) in straight sets, 3-0 (25-16, 25-21, 25-19) at St. Joseph's Hall.
Saint Elizabeth came out strong and controlled the opening set, taking a 25-16 win. York challenged in the second set, but the Eagles remained composed to take the frame 25-21. Saint Elizabeth closed out the match with a 25-19 victory in the third.
Enock Joachim led the Eagles with 12 kills while hitting an outstanding .611, and he also added three service aces. Setter Randel Romero guided the offense with 20 assists, while libero Jameel Wright posted a match-high 20 digs.
Saint Elizabeth finished with a .215 hitting percentage and dominated at the net with six total team blocks.
