Eagles Sweep Valley Forge To End Regular Season

Morristown, NJ-  The Saint Elizabeth University Softball team wrapped up the regular season with a doubleheader sweep vs. Valley Forge, on Saturday, April 25th.

Game 1: SEU 10, Valley Forge 1

Top Performers:
  • Kara Reyes would have a day to remember at the dish, going 4 for 5, while driving in a run, and scoring a run as well for the Eagles.
  • Josilynn Garcia would also have a successful day for the Eagles, going 3 for 4 with 3 doubles in the game. Garcia would also have pick up two runs batted in and score a run for the Eagles on the day.
  • Rylee Sullivan would go 2 for 3 for the Eagles, with a triple. Sullivan would go on to drive in a run, steal a base, and score a run for the Eagles.
  • Isabella Hanos would go 2 for 4 with a triple in game one. Hanos would also score twice for the Eagles, while also driving in a run and swiping a base.
  • Kami DeGaetani would earn the win for the Eagles, tossing the full seven innings, giving up one earned, while striking out two Valley Forge hitters.
Game 2: SEU 11, Valley Forge 1 F/5
  • Kara Reyes would continue her hot hitting for the Eagles on the afternoon, as she would go 2 for 3 with two runs batted in, and scoring a run for the Eagles.
  • Samantha Hemhauser would drive in three for the Eagles, as she would go 2 for 4 on the day, with three runs batted in, while also scoring twice for the Eagles.
  • Deanna McIntosh would go 3 for 4 with two stolen bases for the Eagles. McIntosh would also score twice for the Eagles, and drive in one,
  • Jazmin Frias would pitch the full five innings in the mercy rule victory for the Eagles, striking out two, while giving up one earned run.
Up Next for the Eagles

The Eagles will return to action as they will head to Williamsport, Pa. to face Penn College in a best of three series, in the second round of the United East Championship Tournament.
