Williamsport, Pa. — The St. Elizabeth University women's basketball team closed out the non-conference portion of its schedule with a gritty 51–46 road victory over Penn College on Tuesday evening at Bardo Gym.
The Eagles (5–4) leaned on timely shooting and fourth-quarter composure to secure the win after a tightly contested three quarters that featured 10 ties and eight lead changes. St. Elizabeth trailed 42–40 entering the final period but outscored Penn College 14–4 in the fourth quarter to flip the game in their favor.
Mya Davis led all scorers with 18 points, knocking down four three-pointers, including a pair of clutch triples in the fourth quarter that swung momentum. Ahjionae Cobb added 13 points and four assists, while Elyssa Russo provided a strong all-around effort off the bench with seven points, four assists, and four steals.
Defensively, St. Elizabeth limited Penn College to just two field goals in the final 10 minutes and forced 14 turnovers on the night. The Eagles also held a decisive edge from beyond the arc, connecting on eight three-pointers compared to Penn College's one.
