Saint Elizabeth Dominates York (NY) in 6–0 Victory To Close Out 2025

Jamaica, N.Y. — November 1, 2025

Saint Elizabeth University's women's soccer team closed their season on a high note with a commanding 6–0 win over York (NY) at the York College Outdoor Athletic Complex.

Senior defender Chelsea Sarmiento led the way with a hat trick, scoring three goals and adding an assist in the blowout performance. Katherine Mora and Olivia Picerno each tallied a goal and an assist, while Mileyshka Delgado added a goal and assist of her own to round out the balanced offensive attack.

Saint Elizabeth dominated from the opening whistle, outshooting York 33–3 and putting 21 shots on goal. The Eagles scored three times in each half, showcasing relentless pressure and efficient ball movement.

  • Sarmiento opened the scoring in the 15th minute, assisted by Mora.
     

  • Picerno doubled the lead in the 31st minute off a pass from Nacheca Joseph, and Mora made it 3–0 before halftime on an assist from Sarmiento.
     

  • In the second half, Sarmiento struck twice more in quick succession (66th and 68th minutes), with assists from Picerno and Delgado.
     

  • Delgado capped the scoring in the 70th minute to seal the 6–0 final.
     

Goalkeepers Elizabeth Giamboy and Katherine Mora combined for the shutout, making three total saves and facing just three shots. The defensive unit, anchored by Mora and Chelsea Sarmiento, kept York's attack quiet throughout.
