Morristown, NJ- The Saint Elizabeth University Eagles, welcome the Gwynedd Mercy Griffins for the team's first Atlantic East Conference match in program history.

Match Breakdown

• The Eagles and Griffins would be deadlocked up until halfway through the 33rd minute of the where Tugay Bozogluer would break the scoreless tie, as he would find the back of the net from Marvin Miranda.
• The Eagles would take a 1-0 lead all the way up until midway through the 41st minute, where Gwynedd Mercy would nod it up at one, heading into the break.
• The second half would be a deadlock between the two teams, with both teams having opportunities after opportunities to break the tie the match looked like it was going to finish in a draw.
• However, with less than a minute remaining, the Eagles would have one final push to break the tie, as Zach Ahmed would dish a pass over to Axel Garay with just 32 seconds remaining, Garay would find the back of the net, and give the Eagles a 2-1 advantage and win over the Griffins.
• Keeper Andrew Gonzalez would pick up six saves in the full 90 minutes for the Eagles.
