MORRISTOWN, N.J. – The Saint Elizabeth University women's soccer team showed resilience on Saturday afternoon at Ruth Hennessy Field.
The Eagles' defense, led by goalkeeper Elizabeth Giamboy, faced a relentless Neumann offense that tallied 42 total shots, including 19 on goal. Giamboy recorded an impressive 13 saves, keeping SEU within reach through much of the contest.
Saint Elizabeth managed its lone shot of the day from Nacheca Joseph in the 74th minute, forcing Neumann keeper Kiki Soto to make a save to preserve the shutout.
Despite the setback, SEU showed determination across the backline, with Chelsea Sarmiento, Katherine Mora, and Eleny Leonor-Aleman anchoring a defensive unit that fought off multiple Neumann corner kicks and scoring opportunities.
