Jersey City, NJ- The Saint Elizabeth Men's Soccer team opened up the 2024 campaign falling in a close game on the road vs. New Jersey City University with a final score of 3-2.

Saint Elizabeth will start off the 2024 season 0-1 while NJCU will start 1-0.

Sebastian Londono would tally the first goal of the season for the Eagles scoring in the 31st minute with an assist coming from Zach Ahmed. Nearly halfway through the 56th minute, Jamie Bimboza would pick up the second goal for the Eagles with Londono picking up the assist. Jonathan Ramirez Delgado would make six saves for the Eagles in the loss.

The Golden Knights would outshoot the Eagles 12-7, the Golden Knights would put 10 shots on goal to the Eagles three. Saint Elizabeth was able to get five corner kicks on the afternoon as opposed to the Golden Knights two.

The Eagles will return to action on Wednesday, September 4th, as they will head to Wayne, NJ to face William Paterson with kick-off scheduled for 7 PM.
