Box Score 2 Saint Elizabeth University this past afternoon completed the sweep against conference opponent Notre Dame Maryland. These wins helped the team get to 8-8 within the conference. They just fell short of making the playoffs this year, but a great year under first year Head Coach Blake Saperstein.
Game 1 - Softball went on to win in overtime 8-7, with the winning run coming in after a phenomenal comeback. Kami DeGaetani pitched the entire game with 7 strikes. Josilynn Garcia came in with 2 hits, bringing in 3 RBI's. The senior Aimee Vega finished the first game going 1 for 2 and getting walked.
Game 2 - The girls went back up and made another comeback, scoring all 3 of their runs in the 6th inning, winning 3-1. Josilynn Garcia completed the double header today with going 2 for 3, while Isabell Edwards and Katerra Lutes both drove in one run. Gabby Cummings surrendered two hits, had four strikeouts and walked three.
The next game for the softball team is New Jersey City University on Thursday.
