The Saint Elizabeth University Baseball team completed game 6 of a 4-day road trip in Myrtle Beach, SC with a 10-9 win over Penn College. The Eagles saw great individual performances under new Head Coach Dan Furbeck and will look to build on their momentum as they return to campus. 


The Eagles were able to get back to their winning ways in a close 10-9 win over the Wildcats of Penn College. SS Ryan Deal led the team batting 2-for-3 with 3 RBIs, 2 runs, and 1 walk. 2B Briants Rodriguez also went 2-for-3 and collected an RBI and 1 run while drawing 2 walks. RF Mason Barrios went 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs, 2 runs, 1 walk, and 1 stolen base. 1B Taj Muhammad was active on the base paths stealing 3 bases.

David Lopez-Rodriguez registered the win in 3 innings of work, striking out 4, and allowing only 1 run (0 earned), and 1 walk. Max Miller provided good support in a relief role pitching 4 innings and only allowing 2 runs (1 earned), striking out 3 batters. Jeffrey Guillen secured the save striking out 2 batters in the ninth and getting the third out on a groundout.


The next contest for the Eagles will be on Wednesday March 13 against Lehman College. Game time is scheduled for 4pm in the Bronx, NY.
