The Saint Elizabeth Men's Basketball team fought hard in a 1 versus 2 matchup in United East Skye Division play. The Lions of Bryn Athyn College came into Saint Joseph Hall touting the best record in the division. It was a back and forth exciting game but the Eagles comeback effort ran out of time as the Lions prevailed by two points. The Eagles drop to 10-3 in conference play while the Lions improve to 12-2 and retain first place.
Tye-Rell Monroe led all scorers with 31 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals.
Cam'Ron Martel was a big lift for the Eagles making his first start of the season and recording the double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds.
Jonathan Ramos added 16 points, 8 assists, and 6 rebounds.
The Eagles will look to bounce back on Senior Day against Clarks Summit University on February 10. Homecoming festivities will begin at 11:30am followed by the women's game at 1pm and then the men's game at 3pm.
