The Saint Elizabeth Women's Basketball team made their United East playoff debut Monday night against the Lions of Bryn Athyn College. The Eagles would start slow in the first half going into halftime with a 26-18 deficit. However, Saint Elizabeth would find their rhythm exploding for a 28-point fourth quarter on their way to a victory in the United East Skye Division Semifinals. With the win, the Eagles earn win number 21 on the season and sit at 21-5 overall. The Lions end their season with a 17-8 overall record.
Destiny Battle registered a triple-double with 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 steals.
Mya Davis 12 points and 4 rebounds.
Aryanna Baytops narrowly missed a double-double with 9 points and 11 rebounds.
Yasminah White chipped in with 8 points and 7 rebounds.
Laila Kendle finished with 10 total rebounds to help the Eagles defensively.Â
The Eagles will travel to Baltimore, MD on Wednesday night for the United East Division Final against the Gators of Notre Dame of Maryland University. Tip-off is scheduled for 7pm at the MBK Sports and Activities Complex.
