Eagles Sweep Lions At Home

Morristown, NJ- The Saint Elizabeth Women's Volleyball team was able to pick up a 3-0 victory over Bryn Athyn on Saturday, October 26th.

With this win, the Eagles improve to 9-13 overall, with a 2-6 conference record. Following the loss, Bryn Athyn falls to 4-16 overall on the season with a 2-6 conference record.

The Eagles were able to win a competitive first set with both teams trading leads before the Eagles eventually took it 28-26. The Eagles would hold the Lions to under 20 points in the final two sets by finals of 25-17 in each set.

Sienna Volpe would lead the Eagles in points, tallying 12.5 points and earning a double-double, as she would pick up 11 kills, one service ace, and one block assist. Dadlyna Louis, would finish the afternoon with 12 points for the Eagles, picking up seven kills, two service aces, and three solo blocks. Marissa Heimbaugh would round out the double digit scoring for the Eagles, as she would pick up 10 points for the Eagles as well as a double-double, as she would tally eight kills and two service aces, while also picking up 14 digs on the afternoon. Onye Bosco, was able to pick up five points on the afternoon, off of four kills and two block assists. Sophie Galchus, pick up 4.5 points for the Eagles, as she would pick up four kills and one block assist. Ericka Menaling Trajano was able to pick up three points on three service aces, while also picking up nine assists on the afternoon. Stephanie Jaramillo, would earn 1.5 points for the Eagles, as she would tally one kill and one block assist. Kristina Ashton & Alyssa Wells, each tallied one point off of one service ace. Both Wells & Ashton were able to reach the double digit marker in digs, as Wells would pick up 19 digs, while Ashton was able to pick up a double-double as she tallied 10 digs, and was able to pick up 17 assists. Sarah St. Foi would round out the scoring for the Eagles, tallying a block assist for the Eagles.

The Eagles will return to action on Tuesday, October 29th, as they will travel to Allentown, PA, as they will face Cedar Crest, with gametime scheduled for 7PM.
