The Saint Elizabeth Women's Basketball team traveled to Baltimore, MD in a huge United East Skye Division matchup. The Eagles only loss in conference play this season came at the hands of the Gators of Notre Dame of Maryland University. Despite brilliant play from both teams, the Gators pulled away from the Eagles in a 62-57 decision. Notre Dame of Maryland University remains undefeated in conference play with a record of 12-0. Saint Elizabeth University remains in second place and now boasts a record of 9-2 against conference opponents.

The game was an intense back and forth affair that saw 6 lead changes. The Eagles held as much as a 6-point lead with 5 minutes to go in the 4
th quarter. However, the Gators stormed back tying the game with 2 minutes to go. Free throws were the difference in the end as the Gators converted on 5 of 8 free throws in the final minute of play.Â

Destiny Battle filled up the stat sheet finishing with 17 points, 6 assists, 3 steals, and 3 rebounds.
Yasminah White added some scrappy play with 13 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals.
Mya Davis was hot from downtown with a 4 for 6 three-point shooting performance for a total of 12 points.
Aryanna Baytops chipped in with 8 points and 6 rebounds.

The Eagles will look to bounce back on Tuesday in a road matchup against the University of Valley Forge. Tip-off is scheduled for 7pm at The Pit in Phoenixville, PA.
