The Saint Elizabeth University Men's Volleyball team earned its first win of the young season tonight against conference rival Bryn Athyn College. The match was officially scored as a non-conference contest, as the Eagles will take on the Lions later in the year. With the win, the Eagles improve to 1-2 on the season while the Lions drop to 1-2.
The Eagles saw multiple players produce offensively as they won the match in consecutive sets. Graduate student
Kodi Peters led the Eagles with 11 digs and also finished with 8 kills. Freshman
Eusebio Veras also contributed 8 kills. SeniorÂ
Eddy Pena ended the night with 8 digs and 6 kills. SophomoreÂ
Kennedy Ibezim was great on the defensive end accounting for 3 of the team's 4 blocks while also making 7 kills. SophomoreÂ
Jerry Chalaby provided 9 digs for the Eagles.
Saint Elizabeth will be back on the court this Friday in a non-conference match-up against the University of Valley Forge. The match is scheduled to begin at 7pm in Morristown, NJ
