The Saint Elizabeth University Women's Basketball team secured their fifth consecutive conference win tonight in a 62-44 contest against Keystone College. The Eagles improve to 6-1 in United East Skye Division play while the Giants drop to 3-4 in conference play. The highlight of the night was junior guard
Destiny Battle reaching 1000 career points on a free throw in the 4th quarter.
Battle, a transfer from Felician University, immediately made her impact upon stepping foot at Saint Elizabeth University. As a freshman, she was named the CSAC Rookie of the Year while leading the Eagles in scoring, assists and steals per game. Her sophomore year was marked by national accolades. She was named to the 2022-23 All-Metropolitan Division III 2nd Team. She was also named the CSAC Defensive Player of the Year and was also a 1st Team All-CSAC selection in that same season.  The junior guard is pursuing a degree in Sport Management & Marketing.
Battle finished the game with 22 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists, and 5 steals.
Aryanna Baytops returned to the lineup and contributed 7 points along with a team-high 16 rebounds.
Laila Kendle was also effective on the glass securing 14 rebounds.
Mya Davis and
Ahjionae Cobb each contributed 8 points for the Eagles.Â
Saint Elizabeth will go on the road against Cairn University in their next contest. Tip-off is scheduled for 1pm at the Mason Activity Center in Langhorne, PA.
