Women's Volleyball headed to Newark to take on the Scarlet Raiders and the Lions of Bryn Athyn. Sienna Volpe and Onyé Bosco led the attack in the first match against Rutgers, but their 25 kills was not enough to put the Raiders away. The Eagles were in striking distance the entire match, but could not put all of the pieces together to get the win. Isabella Scirica had 5 kills, Stephanie Jaramillo added 4 kills, Volpe notched 4 more aces to her team leading total, and Dadlyna Louis had 6 blocks on the day (4 solo and 2 assists) in the losing effort.
The next match was a non-conference matchup against United East rival Bryn Athyn. The Lions were short handed but played hard. The Eagles offense had 32 kills coming off of 29 assists; 28 from the hands of Kristina Ashton. Dadlyna Louis had 5 kills and her first assist in a match this season. Sienna Volpe once again led the way with 10 kills, Ava Railton had 12 digs, and Sharline Pina added 8 digs in a good defensive effort. The Eagles will travel to the Asplundh Field House on October 14th to face the Lions again, this time for a United East conference match.
