Women's Volleyball traveled to Lancaster Bible College for their first of three tri-matches scheduled for this season. Their first match was a non-conference matchup with York College of Pennsylvania. The Eagles could not seem to get their offense into a rhythm as they were only able to muster up single digit points in each of the first two sets. Dadlyna Louis had 3 kills and a block, Ava Railton added 12 digs, and freshman Jaylene Nivar recorded her first assist as an Eagle.
Next up was a non conference game with a member of our United East conference from the Volt division, Lancaster Bible College. Once again, the Eagle offense sputtered to a single digit point start in the first set, suffering a 9-25 loss. In the second set, the offense and defense seemed poised to answer the challenge from the talented LBC squad, but came up short in a hard fought 24-26 second set loss; they went on to lose the match in 3 sets. Isabella Scirica led the Eagles with 7 kills, Sienna Volpe added 4 kills and 3 aces, Marcda Thermitus had 3 kills and 2 assists, and Ava Railton added 14 digs to her team leading total for the season thus far.
Saint Elizabeth will look to get their second win of the season against Purchase at home on September 18th.
