The Saint Elizabeth University women's basketball team secured their first conference victory of the season against Keystone College 60-49 Tuesday evening. With the win, Saint Elizabeth University improves to 5-1 (1-0 United East Skye Division) while Keystone drops to 1-4 (0-1 United East Skye Division).
The Eagles had three players in double figures as Destiny Battle recorded a double-double with 18 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, and four steals. Mya Davis had 16 points and four rebounds. Yasminah White logged 12 points, seven rebounds, and six assists. Laila Kendle led the Eagles in rebounding with 13 including 6 offensive boards.
The Eagles outrebounded Keystone, 58-38. Turnovers were also a key factor as Saint Elizabeth forced 16 Keystone turnovers which resulted in 18 points. The Eagles outscored the Giants in all four quarters.
Next for Saint Elizabeth will be a home game against Notre Dame University (MD) on Saturday December 2nd. Tip-off will be at 1pm followed by the men's game at 3pm.
