Box Score Newark, N.J. – The College of Saint Elizabeth baseball team trailed 7-0 after the third inning, but put forth a dramatic and valiant effort to complete the comeback and win 9-7 in the program's first-ever game on a cold and rainy Tuesday night at Rutgers-Newark.
The Eagles (1-0) trailed 6-0 after the first inning and 7-0 after the third inning, but scored four in the fourth, one in the fifth, two in the sixth, and two in the seventh while keeping Rutgers-Newark (2-3) scoreless to complete the incredible comeback.

Casey DeMarco (Greenbrook, N.J. / Watchung Hills) pitched 2.2 scoreless innings in relief, and junior
Tito Morales (Brick, N.J. / Brick Twp) picked up a save after pitching 2.2 scoreless innings and striking out four. Freshman
Jahi Williams (Jersey City, N.J. / Ferris) earned his first collegiate win after striking out one and registering two outs in the pivotal stretch of the contest.
Five different Eagles collected an RBI including two from starting pitcher freshman
Josh Koller (Poughkeepsie, N.Y. / Spackenhill).
Up next, Saint Elizabeth will travel to Myrtle Beach, S.C. and take on Hilbert for a doubleheader beginning on Sunday, March 1 at 4 p.m.
