Morristown, N.J. – Freshman middle blocker
Jarod Crowe (Union, N.J./Union) totaled 13 kills on 15 attacks as the College of Saint Elizabeth men's volleyball team swept Rosemont on Saturday afternoon. Set scores were 25-15, 25-7, 25-14.
The Eagles (8-5) were ahead 14-12 in the opening set, but rattled off 11 of the next 14 points to clinch the set. In the second frame, Saint Elizabeth carried momentum and only allowed Rosemont (0-9) to score seven points. The final set was all Eagles from the opening serve.
Crowe led all players with 13 kills, while freshman opposite
James Bonilla (West New York, N.J./Bloomfield) totaled six kills, four digs, two service aces and two assists. Freshman setter
Joseph-Angelo Calayag (Bergenfield, N.J./Bergenfield) contributed 14 assists a match-high four service aces.
Looking ahead, the Eagles will host Cooper Union on Saturday, Feb. 29 at 11 a.m.
