Morristown, N.J. – The College of Saint Elizabeth women's basketball team got 22 points from senior guard
Rakiyah Sellers (Newark, N.J./Newark Arts), and defeated Centenary 77-69 in front of a raucous crowd inside St. Joseph's Hall on Wednesday night.
Sophomore guard
Maria DeVincenzo (Tampa, Fla./Life Center Academy) finished with 20 points, six rebounds and five assists. Junior forward
Kamani Williams (Middletown, N.J./Middletown North) stacked up a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds.
Saint Elizabeth (12-5, 9-2 CSAC) trailed 21-16 after the first quarter, but outscored Centenary (10-7, 6-5 CSAC) 43-27 over the next two periods. The visiting Cyclones made a late push, but were unable to come within arm's reach of the lead in the fourth quarter.
