Saint Elizabeth Dominant in Sweep of Trinity

Morristown, N.J. – The College of Saint Elizabeth recorded 27 services aces en route to a 3-0 sweep over visiting Trinity (D.C.) on Tuesday night inside Luing Gymnasium. Set scores were 25-7, 25-13, 25-0.
 
The Eagles (3-3) were dominant on the serve all night long, and were led by senior setter Diane Cuevas (Newark, N.J.), who finished with eight aces, 13 assists, two kills and two digs. Junior defensive specialist Maryann Pacheco (Clifton, N.J.) and sophomore Charelle Charles (Elmwood Park, N.J.) each totaled seven service aces.
 
Junior setter Maura Farley (Iselin, N.J.) led the Eagles with a match-high seven kills on just 10 attacks. She also added two service aces and four digs. A total of nine different Eagles recorded a kill, as the team hit .476 on the night.
 
Up next, Saint Elizabeth will travel to Cheyney University to take on the Wolves on Friday, Sep. 20 at 7 p.m.
