MORRISTOWN, N.J. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's men's volleyball team (5-14, 0-8 NEAC) fell in its home finale to Wilson College, 3-0 (16-25, 20-25, 20-25) on Saturday afternoon.
Both teams went back and forth in set one before the Phoenix won seven straight points to open an 13-7 lead. Over the remainder of the set, the Eagles could not find a rally, falling 25-16.
CSE started the second set strong, scoring eight of the first 11 points. Over the next 16 points, the Phoenix won ten to get within one. With the score ties at 17, the Phoenix took eight of the final 11 points to win the second set, 25-20.
After Wilson took the first six the Eagles fought back to get within three midway through the set. Trailing 19-15, the Eagles ran off the next four points to tie the set at 19. Despite the comeback, the Phoenix took six of the next seven points to with the set, 25-20.
CJ Koskulitz led the Eagles with nine digs, five blocks and an ace.
Justin Millan added five kills and five digs while
Frank Rossi Jr. finished with 11 assists.
CSE returns to action on Friday when it travels to Wells College for a 7 pm start.
