ABINGTON, P.A. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's men's basketball team (13-12, 8-8 NEAC) was beaten in the first round of the NEAC Playoffs by Penn State Abington, 93-66 on Tuesday evening.
Jason Saldiveri led the Eagles with 21 points and four rebounds. Â
Darnill Brown added 10 points while
Roland Romano finished with six points and two rebounds.
CSE started the game strong over the first seven minutes, taking an early 16-12 lead. The Eagles continued to lead over the next six minutes before Abington used a 10-0 to take a 31-23 lead.  The Nittany Lions grew its lead to 45-30 heading into halftime.
The Eagles started the second half on an 8-0 run to quickly get within 45-38. Â The game went back and forth over the next four minutes as Abington regained a double-digit lead at the 12:20 mark. Â Over the final 12 minutes, the Eagles would not be able to stage a comeback, falling to Abington, 93-66.
The Eagles finish the season with a 13-12 mark and 8-8 in the NEAC, both best in program history.
