Men's Basketball Season Comes to an End at Abington

ABINGTON, P.A. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's men's basketball team (13-12, 8-8 NEAC) was beaten in the first round of the NEAC Playoffs by Penn State Abington, 93-66 on Tuesday evening.

Jason Saldiveri led the Eagles with 21 points and four rebounds.  Darnill Brown added 10 points while Roland Romano finished with six points and two rebounds.

CSE started the game strong over the first seven minutes, taking an early 16-12 lead. The Eagles continued to lead over the next six minutes before Abington used a 10-0 to take a 31-23 lead.  The Nittany Lions grew its lead to 45-30 heading into halftime.

The Eagles started the second half on an 8-0 run to quickly get within 45-38.  The game went back and forth over the next four minutes as Abington regained a double-digit lead at the 12:20 mark.  Over the final 12 minutes, the Eagles would not be able to stage a comeback, falling to Abington, 93-66.

The Eagles finish the season with a 13-12 mark and 8-8 in the NEAC, both best in program history.
