Eagles Overpower Wilson, 84-70

Morristown, N.J. – Senior forward Ted Thelemaque (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North) led five Eagles in double-figure scoring with 18 points, as the College of Saint Elizabeth men's basketball team handled Wilson, 84-70, inside Saint Joseph's Hall on Saturday afternoon. It was the first-ever Colonial States Athletic Conference game and first victory for Saint Elizabeth.
 
The Eagles (5-2, 1-0 CSAC) shot a scorching 53.3 percent (32-for-60) from the field, and held Wilson (2-8, 0-2 CSAC) to 41.9 percent (26-for-62) shooting from the field. Saint Elizabeth furthermore turned 26 Wilson turnovers into 34 points to keep a sizeable lead throughout the contest.
 
Senior point guard Cam Tucker (Columbus, N.J./Northern Burlington) poured in 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting, while senior guard Jay Saldiveri (New Brunswick, N.J./South Brunswick) added 16 points on 5-of-7 shooting and four steals. Senior guard Lance Rhoden (Orange, N.J./Orange) was 3-for-6 from three-point range, and finished with 13 points.
 
Up next, Saint Elizabeth hosts Bryn Athyn in a 3 p.m. CSAC contest on Saturday, Dec. 14 inside Saint Joseph's Hall.
