Morristown, N.J. – Senior forward
Ted Thelemaque (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North) scored a season-high 17 points, but the College of Saint Elizabeth could not keep pace with hot-shooting Drew on Wednesday night, falling 88-70 in a non-conference game.
The Eagles (3-1) didn't trail by more than six in the opening half until the final possession of the frame, when Drew's (3-1) Michael Boice buried a triple with seven seconds left in the half to take a 47-38 lead into the break.
In the second half, Saint Elizabeth cut the lead to 66-61 after a dunk from sophomore forward
Jarek Johnson (Burlington, N.J./Burlington Twp) with 8:43 to go. However, the Rangers caught fire from the field and took control of the game.
Sophomore forward
Pierre Harden (Sicklerville, N.J./Winslow) finished with a career-high 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting, and pulled down six rebounds.
Looking ahead, the Eagles will compete in the Juniata Tournament this weekend. They will take on Roanoke on Friday, Nov. 22 at 5 p.m. before playing Juniata at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
