MORRISTOWN, N.J. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's men's soccer team (2-4, 0-2 NEAC) used a hat-trick by freshman
Imad Gado to life the Eagles to its second win of the season, over Cooper Union on Sunday afternoon.
20 minutes into the first half,
Imad Gado put home his first goal of the season off a cross from
Oumar Nabe to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead. Just two minutes later, Gado knocked in his second goal of the game to give the Eagles a 2-0 lead. With just under two minutes remaining in the half, Gado put home is third goal of the game which was quickly followed by a
Nick Riggio goal to give the Eagles a 4-0 halftime lead.
Seven minutes into the second half,
Emmanuel Hounsa scored his first goal of the game to give the Eagles a 5-0 lead. With 30 minutes remaining,
Kevin Canseco netted his first goal of the game off a penalty kick to open up a 6-0 lead. Later in the match,
Oumar Nabe and
Steven Maia added goals to give the Eagle the 8-0 win.
The Eagles finished with 40 shots and 23 shots on goal, the most in a game in program history.
