MORRISTOWN, N.J. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's women's volleyball team (2-0, 0-0 NEAC) rolled to an opening sweep of Medgar Evers and Lehman College on Saturday afternoon.
In the first match against Medgar Evers, the Eagles dominated in a 3-0 win (25-11, 25-14, 25-9).
Stephanie Mitarotonda led the Eagles with six service aces, five kills and two digs. Stacey Medina added five aces, four kills and two assists while
Yasmin'na Muhammad finished with five service aces and three kills.
In the final match of the day against Lehman, the Eagles once again dominated, downing the lightening in 3 sets (25-12, 25-12, 25-12).Â
Maura Farley led the Eagles in the second match, finishing with 11 assists, seven digs and four kills. Freshman
Joralis Nivar added a game high nine digs while
Maryann Pacheco finished with seven service aces.
CSE returns to action on Friday when it travels to Pennsylvania to take part in the Misericordia Invitational.
