Deja Ingram scored 28 points, including her 1,000th career point, but it was not enough as the College of Saint Elizabeth's women's basketball team (7-14, 4-9 NEAC) fell to Penn State Abington, 75-60 on Wednesday evening.
Ingram became the 13th Eagle in school history to score her 1,000th career point. Ingram tallied her 14th double-double of the season, adding 17 rebounds to her 28 points.Â

Kamani Williams each pitched in with nine points a piece.
In the first quarter, the Eagles stormed out of the gate, scoring 12 of the first 15 points to take an early 12-3 lead. CSE's defense was solid in the quarter, forcing five turnovers. Abington scored the final four points of the quarter as the Eagles took an 18-11 lead into the second period.
The Eagles opened up its largest lead of the game with 5:13 remaining in the half, taking a 28-15 lead. Despite the largest lead, Abington closed the half on a 15-6 run to get within 34-31 at the break.
After the Eagles took a 39-31 lead early in the third quarter, the Nittany Lions scored the next eight points to tie the game at 39. The Eagles battled for the final seven minutes, but the offense struggled from the floor as Abington took a 53-45 lead into the final 10 minutes.
At the 5:45 mark of the final quarter, Ingram made a layup under the basket, notching her 1,000 and 1,001 career points. CSE fought hard to the end of the game, but could not mount a comeback, falling by 15.
CSE returns to action on Saturday when it travels to Lancaster Bible for a 3 pm tip.
