MORRISTOWN, N.J. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's men's volleyball team (4-10, 0-2 NEAC) powered past Pratt Institute, 3-0 (25-13, 25-18, 25-21) on Thursday evening.
Chino Singalivo led the Eagles with 18 assists and 10 service aces.
Josh Ramos added nine kills, five digs and four service aces while
CJ Koskulitz had nine digs.
The Eagles started the match strong, scoring the first three points to take a 3-0 lead. Both teams traded points before Ramos served three straight service aces to open up a 13-7 lead. CSE dominated the remainder of the set, winning 12 of the final 15 points to take the set 25-13.
Both teams clawed back and forth throughout the first 20 points before CSE won four straight points to take a 15-9 lead. The Eagles would not allow Pratt to get within five in the set before winning 25-18 and opening up a 2-0 lead.
Early in the third set, Ramos blistered a perfectly placed kill to give the Eagles a 7-4 lead. Pratt fought back in the set to take its first lead of the match at 12-11. With the match tied at 16, the Eagles won six of the next seven points to take a 22-17 lead. CSE managed to take the final two points to win the match in three sets.
CSE returns to action on Saturday when it travels to Alvernia University for a tri-match beginning at 11 am.
